Buell Ulysses - adventure the American way

    Model(s) covered: 2007 Buell Ulysses XB12X

Harley-Davidson and its sportier subsidiary Buell are known for their tar-only bikes so was a surprise when Buell launched the Ulysses XB12X as a contender in the popular dual-purpose category.
It's essentially a Buell Firebolt street bike with longer-travel suspension, changed steering geometry and a longer wheelbase to make it easier to ride on dirt.
Add to that a larger fuel tank, handguards, a pair of slightly groovier tyres (I wouldn't go so far as to call them dual purpose) and you have what Buell describes as a versatile adventure sportbike with the emphasis on sport.
