The German firm’s line of cars, from family sedans to M performance machines, has always been on the cutting edge of performance and drivability. Could the same be said for their motorcycles, though? In a true sporting sense, No. While they have dominated areas like adventure riding with its GS line and long-distance touring with the LT range, a purebred sportbike has always eluded the Bavarian brand, something that has perplexed us for years.
